Real companies, real deadlines, one semester.
Agile Consulting is Rotterdam Business School's international consulting programme. Students from different countries form teams and work as consultants for real companies on live assignments, and present their work to the companies themselves.
Over the semester my team worked with three companies: Cappon Tax, Bijzaak and S4 Energy. I took part as an Erasmus exchange student.

During the programme, I worked on real business consulting assignments under non-disclosure agreements. To respect client confidentiality, project-specific information and deliverables are not publicly disclosed. The names of the companies we worked with are public; the business problems, findings and solutions remain confidential.
For your business: the habits from Rotterdam carry over: understand the real question first, check it against the numbers, present a recommendation people can act on, and keep what you share confidential.
What a consulting semester trains.
Without client details, this is what I can show: the way of working the programme asked for, and that my lecturers commented on.
- 01Finding the real question
Asking questions to understand the issue behind a brief, not for the sake of asking.
- 02Numbers in context
Reading the figures together with the organisation around them.
- 03Presenting to clients
Turning analysis into a clear, convincing story for the people who decide.
- 04International teamwork
Working with teammates from different countries, on deadlines set by real companies.
- 05Discretion
Handling real company information under NDA, and knowing what stays inside the room.
Three results, kept distinct.
